                                                 Featured Artist:

                     Sonicbloom

SonicBloom - “Paradigm Lift” (CD is being Marketed & Promoted by IDC as well) Sonicbloom presents their second full-length completely self-produced album Paradigm Lift, on CFO Recordings. Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sonicbloom is a core group of 5 artists playing the roles of mc/songwriters/singers, beat makers, musicians, and engineers.  Full of 18 diverse tracks, the project is an“intentional, heart-opening, inter-dimensional soundwave seduction.”  An “upfront and tasteful” representation of hip-hop music that will capture listeners not only with the dynamic range and high caliber of the beats, but also with the lyrical content and unique styles the vocalists offer.

DJ Quest - “Questolous”

Turntable tracks cooked from scratch, layered with drumming, and glazed with squelching bass-lines, blazed high-hats, and virtuoso scratch solos. Rooted in the golden nectar of old-school Electro, Questolous maps sonic travels to the sci-fi-retro-future. DJ QUEST - co-producer of the first battle record: Hamster Breaks, originator of the widely adopted Hamster Style technique, and architect of Jazz/Hip Hop trio in Livehuman presents QUESTOLOUS. DJ Quest collaborated with underground producers including Oaty Love, DJ T-Rock, Dawgish, Dust One, DJ 2 Fresh and Hip Hop Janitor Music. On the vocal tip, Eddie K, Bas 1, and Luke Sick graced tracks with down tempo, mid-tempo-club style, and hardcore b-boy flavors.

Ainsley Burrows - “Evolver”

Socio-political musings coupled with hypnotic, pulsating rhythms comprise the seminal fiber of Ainsley Burrows fifth full length album, EVOLVER. Not to be mistaken for a standard album of poetry, EVOLVER is a classic ten track offering which grips the listener with mind-boggling lyrics and deft delivery. With its masterful arrangement and clean production, EVOLVER will become the guide to young poets the world over.

DangerZone - “Dangerous Styles”

Do you remember the first time you heard “Inta Da Stage” by Black Moon or “The Sun Rises In The East” by Jeru the Damaja? Enter “Dangerous Styles” from Danger|Zone. Raw HipHop is back and Danger|Zone is leading the new generation of rising artists. Slamming boom-bap beats from producer Amos Famous lay the perfect backdrop for the gritty and grimy stories and imagery from Emcee Bru Lei. Simple concept. Dope result.

Various Artists - “Frontline Riddim” Lion Sound Productions

Pick guitar fires as airy flute sounds rollin. Drums drop heavy and fast to keep the dance moving. Unfolding is a host of international artist blazin hot on the “frontline” from around the globe. These Frontline Gideon soldiers bring a unified message of Rastafari the worldwide reggae massive, rising this dancehall riddim to the next level. Featuring Tracks from Lutan Fyah, Prezident Brown, Ras Attitude, Khari Kill and many more!

Taj Weekes & Adowa - “Deidem”

Taj Weekes’ music is more than just entertainment.  The St. Lucian born, bred and based roots reggae artist’s music stirs thought, provokes discussion and inspires people to think for themselves, free from the constraints of the corporate media.  On his beautiful new album DEIDEM, released on his own independent label, Jatta Records, Weekes sings assuredly and soulfully for the voiceless and the oppressed, taking his music to a new level of commitment and universal appeal.

Funk Dub Division - “The Hits”

Now hear this! Funk, dub, soul, experimental, electronic moshing featuring some of world music’s tightest players and vocalists blend in a digital, psychedelic amalgamation influenced by the likes of: Rufus, Black Uhuru, Miles and Monk, Martin Denny, Ravi Shankar and William Burroughs.

Psycopatrik - “Cyber Zoo”

Cyber Zoo cannot be labeled in one style of electronica, it has elements of house, breakbeat and downtempo influences. The record is filled with guitar grooves and strong bass lines, which reflects Psycopatrik’s influences in Soul and 70”s Funk and Disco and blended with the great Brazilian rhythms found in both Samba & World Beat.

Charge 7 - “Supercharged”

Charge7 is the latest style evolution by the successful German Top 10 producer Martin Dorn “The new Trevor Horn” aka M7 Martino. The unique sound of Charge7 is a complete crossbreed of several musical influences. When 1980..s style power ballads meet electronic club music with the powerful rap voice of Chris Moss piercing throughout, you end up with a hi-def jam that intrigues hip-hop, club and pop/rock audiences.

Audiodub - “So Scud”

San Francisco’s Audiodub is a new reggae/rock trio that has quickly made a name for itself hitting clubs up and down the west coast over the past year. Dustin, Jordan and Joe are three inseparable friends who have spent the last year recording “So Scud,” a compilation of 14 tracks meshing reggae, rock, punk, surf and acoustic into a sound that can only be describes as “California Reggae That Rocks.”

Aoede - “Push and Pull”

In Greek mythology, Aoede was the muse of song. Lisa Sniderman is the rare vocalist who draws inspiration from her many muses and then is able to transfer that inspiration to listeners. If there really is a wall that forms once an artist takes the stage, it may help to think of Aoede’s music and lyrics as the powerful - yet gentle - hammer capable of bringing down the wall.

At Hand Productions - “Prophecies of War”

Prophecies of War is a multimedia production that combines 5 live musicians, three floor-to-ceiling projection screens, and audio clips of Dwight Eisenhower and George W. Bush.  PoW grew from Andrew Hanna’s senior thesis at The University of the Arts in 2002. Since then it has taken on a life of its own. Originally lasting 30  minutes, but in live performance it now lasts two hours.

Resonant Soul - “The Death of Amara Lee”

If polished 70’s Brit rock went to college and fell in love with the leathery good-looks of American southern rock, they would have eloped to raise five musicians, savvy to the importance of writing from the heart and performing from the gut; and the name of their kin is Resonant Soul.

The Orphans - “Alone”

New line-up – new look – new sound – new tunes. The Orphans take a giant step forward on their new album. With founding member/ guitarist Mike (no last name’s, please) looking to diversify The Orphans sound; a denser and more vocally assured band is the result. The most apparent new addition, London brings her strong chops and expressive voice to the proceedings.

Service Begins June 2008
