IDC - Independent Distribution Collective

IDC Licensing

IDCLicensing is an exciting division of IDC that provides independent artists a channel through which their music can be submitted to music supervisors for placement consideration in TV, film, and video games. Music from our catalog has been licensed to Universal Pictures, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Electronic Arts, The Oprah Show, Fuel TV, NBC Universal's Oxygen Network, E! Entertainment, MTV, FOX Sports, and the USA Network.

IDC's Director of Music Licensing, Chris Austria, has years of experience in the music industry and a very diverse background. A former tiger and lion trainer, he has worked with the big cats for Siegfried & Roy in Las Vegas, NV, and at Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, CA, where he was also music supervisor and producer, composing original music for the tiger show.

His extensive contacts in the music industry, coupled with his unrivaled dedication, gives IDCLicensing artists the chance to have their music heard and considered by music supervisors of various mediums; all with no up-front fees!

IDCL's licensing agreement is non-exclusive. As previously mentioned there are no up-front fees to have your music included in the catalog and submitted to music supervisors.

Artists keep 100% of the songwriter's and publisher's royalties received from Performance Rights Organizations such as ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC. IDC retains only 50% of the synchronization and master fees from content placed by IDCL. IDCL does not retain any ownership of copyrights or publishing.

IDCLicensing is always looking for more music in all genres for licensing consideration. To find out more about submission requirements, Chris Austria can be contacted at wildtigerproductions@mac.com.
