The New Dealers are just that — a completely new deal. This is very different from anything I've heard lately. Combining everything from dancehall and reggae to hip-hop and even some traces of punk, the New Dealers are bringing a whole new sound to my ear, and a whole different nod to my head. "Waiting Room," a Fugazi cover, has a punk chorus with a hip-hop beat and some dancehall lyrical flow. Surprisingly, it works. On "Inhale," the New Dealers start the track with a sample of bong loads and continue with an ode to weed. These guys know what they like and aren't afraid to say it, or play it.
