One of Boulder Colorado's most loved and missed songwriter-singers is back. Guitarist Danny Brant Schultz, the brain child behind Boulder's Band Du Jour, is now a Bay Area resident and is rapidly building a loyal following with his current project The Danny Brant Band. Combining blues, soul, funk and rock, Danny's signature style is refreshingly original while eerily reminiscent of legendary guitarists Duane Allman and early Eric Clapton. Through years of live touring, Danny has gained new fans and reconfirmed old ones at each stop; his unique ability to connect with an audience gets fans dancing and keeps them coming back again and again.

HISTORY - In Boulder, with Band Du Jour, Danny built a huge dedicated following, selling out Colorado's most beloved venue The Fox Theatre consistently for over four years. The band toured throughout the state and quickly became a crowd favorite, regularly playing to sold out houses. Outside of Colorado, the band played to growing audiences in 26 states from coast to coast, in addition to performing at numerous large music festivals and touring Japan.

In 1997 after nearly a decade of touring, Danny moved to San Francisco. Living on a sailboat, Danny began a well earned rest from the road and started performing locally as The Danny Brant Band. While in the city, Danny played a private party for famed attorney Tony Serra. Tony's practice of defending victims of civil rights abuses, medical marijuana patients, American Indians, and other worthy causes inspired Danny to pass the California bar and join the efforts against injustice. Much to listener's delight, this period spurred a new era of songwriting and produced yet another set of outstanding Brant originals.

In the winter of 2000/2001, Melvin Seals, former organist for the Jerry Garcia Band, was introduced to Danny and sat in with The Danny Brant Band. He quickly fell in love with Danny's original music and invited Danny to record at his studio. While recording, Melvin asked Danny to join him as the lead vocalist/guitarist for the JGB 2001 summer tour. During the five-month tour, Danny got thousands of fans rocking throughout the nation and in Canada. Performing signature originals such as "Sea of Darkness", "Simple Song", "Louisiana Rain" and "Artist" in addition to passionate covers of Garcia classics, Danny's original style captivated audiences and kept them dancing at festivals and clubs alike.

Recently, Danny's soulful harmonica playing was featured on stage with Leftover Salmon at the famed Fillmore in San Francisco, and at the High Sierra Music Festival (with Bill Paine of Little Feat). After the festival, Danny continued to rock Leftover Salmon fans, by jamming with the band on guitar at the Veterans Hall in Petaluma, CA.
