Founded in 2003 by former San Francisco studio associates, Benny E. Sanches and Richard G. Jones, New Blues Musik is a record label / multimedia conglomarate producing and promoting innovative ideas through conducive mediums.

Benny E. Sanches is a decade-long producer of electronic music, with remixes for Depeche Mode and Meat Beat Manifesto among his recent portfolio. As a producer, engineer and musician, Benny has also been involved in projects such as MTV’s "Making the video" and Sony’s Tomb Raider 3 commercial, which aired nationally. Additional projects and collaborations include David Pulfinger (percussionist, Cabaret Voltaire/Cocteau Twins); Christophe Royer (Paris-based House & Funk producer); Rasa N' Rice (San Francisco Collective)

Richard G. Jones started his career as ÒDJ RASAÓ well over a decade ago. His uniquely dark dub influenced sound led him to the new "jungle" music slowly emerging in the U.S. in the early nineties. A pioneer in this genre in Florida, DJ Rasa , frequently joined by MC 3D TEA, hosted weekly nights at famed Simons, playing along side talent such as Grooverider, Diesleboy, DB, Dara & LTJ Bukem, to name a few. After acquiring a more personal venue at The Soulhouse, called "Clean", he was able to experiment more, release a number of tracks through Moonshoe Guild Records, and bring in acts such as Smith & Mighty, drawing from a more Dub / Reggae influence. After moving to San Francisco in 1998 he crossed paths with Benny E. Sanches (aka iNTROSPEKT) at Nova Productions. The two immediately began producing together and developing the sound that is ÒVersionÓ.

Version are best described as a grass-roots collective of progressive musicians and engineers, blending herbal rhythms, atmospheric environments and definitive soul. Their original pieces showcase versatility, depth and definition of an emergence in sound, simply labeled Electro-Reggae-Blues. Their compositions incorporate a myriad of genres ranging from Break-Beat to Reggae and Dub, Drum-N-Bass, Ambient, Nu-Skool Breaks and the realm of Rock-N-Roll and Blues.
