This CD contains brand new tracks from 16 of Panama’s greatest MC’s and Singers on a totally new style of music called aptly "Soccaton". Produced by Conquering Lion Soundz, who has already scored success in the USA and in Latin America with its first release, La Plena, a Various Artists Reggaeton compilation featuring over 20 artists. In the first week of March 2006, in Panama City, Panama, some of our crew, namely - DJ Fulo (Yovani Smith, CLSGP), Pablo Quintero (Insmnio Studios), and Rocker T (Positive Sound Massive, Conquering Lion Soundz, plus many more) were working on new tracks for the PSM/CLS Co-Production ‘Rocker T - Retrospect’, when ‘T’ came up with this great new style of riddim which blends traditional Reggaeton with a strange new ‘Caribi - Socca’ influence none of us had heard before.

Fulo said the word ‘Soccaton’ and it stuck perfectly. I tell this story, because within a month one of Fulo’s ‘good friends’ was spreading the name all across Europe, and typically forgetting to give the credit where credit is due by ‘forgetting’ the true originators of this new style and genre... Thank you Rocker T, for the great new sound and thank you DJ Fulo for the perfect name.
