IAN COLLINS - THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY

Ian

The summer of 2006 sees the worldwide release of the ‘critically acclaimed’ album ‘The Map Is Not The Territory’ by Ian Collins on Constant In Opal Records (CIO 001)

Everyone has their own ‘subjective’ map of the world. It represents what goes on around us, what things mean to us and what we believe and feel about them – our perceptions, or what we understand as experience or reality.

All this map making goes on in our minds as we try to understand the world we live in. Every persons map differs, you have the right to change your mind, none of us sees things as reality.

The map (our subjective, limited perception) is the territory (of reality).
