Wookie J – Big Up the Children
Wookie J is a special person with a very positive message. He shows his love for people, God, children, his music, his wife and kids, and ganja on his new, debut album "Big Up the Children." Wookie J grew up listening to rap and reggae and "Big Up the Children" is a true reflection of just that. WOOKIE'S career actually started in Hawaii with Steffan Franz (Stand Out Selector). They were doing clubs and shows together. They formed Positive Sound Massive and started recording. Then Wookie hooked up with Kulcha Shok Muzik back in Florida and now has completed a great sounding reggae/hip hop album. The album is dedicated to the kids and that's why it's called "Big Up the Children."
This song is not only the title track but it is also a single and video. The album really shows a spiritual side to Wookie, who grew up in the church and is the first in 4 generations in his family not to become a preacher. In all reality he's still a preacher but thru music. Tracks like "Thank Jah," "This is Life," "Tell it to Your Neighbor and "Run Come" reveal this side to him. His hip hop influence is highlighted on "Flip the Script," "My Record" and "Yankee & Yardee" with Natty Remo Shinehead does a duet with a song Wookie penned called "Nice Up the Dance." The lover's rock and jazzy styled "Darling" is a special song he wrote to his wife. The dancehall and influence Nicodemus had on him is heard in "Herbman Connection," "Romp Up in the Place" and "I've Seen it Happen." The album ends with 3 dub tracks. Enjoy!

Natty Remo - Babylon Fall

KSM 002-2 / IDC Cat#0029
Natty Remo Hazzar has currently completed his debut album for KULCHA SHOK MUZIK. It's called "BABYLON FALL." This will also be the name of his single and video. An all original album of real rub-a-dub reggae. There are a few exceptions and these exceptions could be considered surprises, too. There is dancehall, hip hop, dance and , of course, straight up reggae and more. It's all about love, reality, the almighty and the fall of Babylon.
Formerly known as Natty Remo and Capt. Remo, this extremely talented dj was raised in Mandeville, Jamaica. The music was taken serious from as early as 1984, that's when he debuted on the Survival sound system. Remo's talent was recognized right from the start and he hasn't looked back. since winning the new artist of the year award in New York in 1991, Natty has performed on the greatest one night reggae show in the world, Sting. In both 1992/93 and 1993/94 he was nominated for the best dj at the annual Tamika Reggae Awards. Then in 1995/96 the nomination came for best new artist in Jamaica from the annual Binns awards. The same year as Anthony B and the year Determine won it for "Kette Drum." This led to a European tour with Mikey Spice, President Brown and others. Later that same year he debuted on Reggae Bash White River Ocho Rios, Jamaica. He returned there two more times. 1996 he made his debut on Reggae Sunsplash. The very next year he was credited as being the first dancehall artist to ever perform on the Vermont Reggae Festival. This opened the door the very next year for artists like Beenie Man. It's his dynamic live performances that win over crowds around the world, even without a single song they may or may not recognize.
Natty Remo's songs include his first hit "Africa Fi Africans," "Weh Dem A Go Do," "Get Ready" and "Signs and Wonders" with Mikey Spice all recorded with Barry O'Hare of the X-Rated label in Ocho Rios. He also recorded "Thanks and Praises" for Digital-B. Remo is currently working with KULCHA SHOK MUZIK,Inc. He has recorded and released "Work", "Pretty Looks" and "Champion Sound" for KULCHA SHOK and these three tracks appeared on their compilation album "The Best of Both Worlds-KULCHARAL DANCEHALL." The track "Pretty Looks" also appeared as apart of the video "The Tree Roots Medley." In 2000 he released "Wrong Babylon" with Cool Breeze as a single. It also appeared on the compilation album "Reggae Free Mumia." An album solely dedicated to raising awareness and money for the Mumia Fund.
